Life is like the ocean. At times it is calm and peaceful, full of beauty. However, all to often it is a storm. It swirls all around. The winds whip and the waves crash over us. We feel battered and like we are drowning. Soaking wet and water logged, we long for shelter and rest. There is only one safe place, one place of true rest and security. That place is in the arms of Christ. This blog exists to encourage, strengthen, comfort, and at times convict. Whatever has brought you here, I welcome you. If you have a relationship with Christ already I hope you will find encouragement here. If you are searching for answers, I hope that you may find them here and see that Christ and only Christ can offer the fulfillment you seek.

“When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.”

Isaiah 43:2

  1. Dear Joel,
    Encouraging through Jesus Christ centered.
It’s refreshing to read and know that truth has no boundaries in age, as I am significantly older than you.

I am happy to have found your blog and to have the opportunity to read from a like minded person the walk in the everyday. Fellowship is important and true fellowship a gift, thanks for the perseverance in your thoughts and the word to pen.
